When choosing a cyber school, a primary consideration for many parents and students is the academic performance of the school. The Pennsylvania Department of Education measures school performance in a number of ways, including PSSA scores, graduation rates, and dropout rates, and reports it in a single measure as AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress). The Department of Education website at http://paayp.emetric.net/ contains AYP information on every public school in Pennsylvania, allowing the performance of schools to be easily compared.
